If you are seeing the pages in the google search pages but images are not appearing. For certain pages like recipes, cloths, user generally open the page from search result page by looking at image. And if image is not visible then this may lead to lower page views, hits, etc. So, it becomes important to find the root cause and solve this issue

Following are the few things I have tried and solved the issue:

1. Check for any errors in structured data elements via Rich Results
2. If you have AMP implemented, check for amp-image on the pages. Fix it if not present as expected via AMP
3. Check for other pages for which images are appearing and compare with problematic page.
4. Check if image is too heavy to load or extension? WebP images perform better than jpg or png.
5. Check Google Search Console for any structured errors
6. Check for 404, 302, 5xx errors on image URLs in Google Search Console
7. Is it blocked by Robots.txt?
8. Any console errors related to images?
